What is your primary product or service?
At Mudslingers Pottery School, people of all ages and ability levels come together in a relaxed but vibrant atmosphere to explore ceramic arts. We offer tools, support and instruction to help stimulate the artist in us all.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
John Hansen found his affinity for clay while a student at the University of Wisconsin. John has worked in theatre and business but pottery has been a constant thread in his life. He started Mudslingers in 1998 after many years of teaching in other programs. In addition to his extensive experience, John brings his infamous sense of humor to class, resulting in fun and enlightening times. His work has been exhibited in Europe and sold nationally.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Mudslingers experienced teachers and member staff offer hands-on assistance and inspiration for making functional, whimsical, and sculptural ceramic pieces. Frequent firings of our high-fire stoneware kilns allow students to see on-going results.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
One; no current plans to expand.
